Kristen Jorde has been teaching music to children and adults in her community since she graduated magna cum laude from George Mason University, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Music degree. Since then, she has earned her Kodály certification and Master in Music Education in Kodály Music Education from the American Kodály Institute at Loyola University, Maryland, and she holds a Level One certificate in Music Learning Theory Early Childhood Music from Temple University. She has taught for Fairfax County Public Schools as an elementary music educator and 5th and 6th grade Choral Director and at Trinity Christian School as the Lower School Music Educator and Choral Director. She is the founder and former conductor of the Sovereign Grace Church Home School Co-op’s 3rd through 6th grade choral ensemble and conducted the co-op’s 7th through 12th grade choral ensemble. Kristen enjoys her life with her husband, Cole, and three children, Ashton, Eleanore, and Finley. In her free time, she enjoys homeschooling, cooking, singing on her church worship team, playing the ukelele, and spending time with family and friends.
