Since the summer of 2005, Patrick Vaughn has served as the Director of Youth Choruses for the FCS, overseeing all performing ensembles and over 250 students. He also conducts the Concert Choir and the Master Singers. In addition to his position with FCS, he is the Director of Choirs at Annandale High School, where he oversees a program of over 130 students and serves as Director of Music Ministries at Annandale United Methodist Church in Annandale, VA, where he oversees musicians in eight vocal and instrumental ensembles.
Before moving to Northern Virginia in October 2004, he served as the Director of Music Ministries at First United Methodist Church in Dothan, AL, and as the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Music South Symphony Orchestra. Prior to his church positions, Mr. Vaughn taught choir on the secondary level in Central Texas for nearly 10 years. His choirs have won awards domestically and internationally and have been held in the highest acclaim by the American Choral Directors Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Texas Choral Directors Association. Mr. Vaughn is also the co-founder and artistic director of Brethren, a men’s ensemble comprised of professional, military, and church musicians.
