This is Miranda Lansberry’s tenth season with the Fairfax Choral Society. During the past nine seasons, Ms. Lansberry has served as the conductor of Da Capo Choir, Lyric Choir, Treble Choir, and now Concert Choir, as well as teaching musicianship classes for Early Childhood, Treble Choir and Concert Choir. In addition to teaching with FCS, Miranda is also a member of the Symphonic Chorus. Ms. Lansberry is the Director of Choirs at Justice High School in Falls Church, Virginia. She has taught music in Fairfax County Public Schools for 9 years at every grade level (PK-12). Ms. Lansberry holds a Masters in Music Education (2022) and a Bachelors of Arts in Music (2014) from George Mason University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Middle School Education from the University of Missouri at Kansas City (2000). She is certified in both Kodály and Conversational Solfege. She is currently studying with Jeanie LoVetri in Somatic Voicework.
